Favourite concealers

Hi my lovelies, firstly sorry for the dirtiness of the products, you can see that they are well loved! So here's the following post from my previous one, and its on my favourite concealers. When picking my favourites, it wasn't a hard decision. Rimmel's Match perfection 2in1 highlighter and concealer is my holy grail under eye concealer. It has peachy undertones, which is great when cancelling out dark under eyes and it doesn't crease, but I do powder with Rimmel Stay Matte powder just to be safe.

For spot concealing, like blemishes and redness around the nose etc I like Mac Pro Longwear and the L'Oreal True Match concealer, both are great. However, the Mac one, as it suggests in the name lasts longer than the L'Oreal one, but both do the trick, but ones around £15 and the others a quarter of the price, you'll never guess which one, but if you're a beauty lover like me, its worth it for such a great product. I have and do sometimes use the mac one under my eyes and its great but the L'Oreal one crease far too much for me personally to use under eyes.

What are your favourite concealers?
Hope you enjoyed this post, my next one will be on my current favourite blush's.

Holy Grail bases

Hi my lovelies, hope you're all well. This is the first post of a little series of posts I'll be doing in the next week or so on my favourite products in each different category. This one is on my favourite foundations, and coming up I've got concealers, brows, eyes, bases for eyes, blushes and bronzers, so far and after I'm thinking of doing a skin care version, for example, moisturisers, toners, exfoliators and masks etc.

Anyways, on to what this post is actually about, the foundation I use on a daily basis is Loreal True Match, which has gotten a lot of praise in the Youtube and blog world and I have to agree with everyone when I say its the perfect base. Its matte, and blends perfectly and it lasts pretty much all day and has a SPF of 17. Also, not to mention its cheap at only £10, and considering its been compared to Mac Studio Fix, that's a bargain! it can be bought in the usual places, Boots, Superdrug etc. I'm in the shade R2 C2 Vanilla Rose.

However, when I use fake tan (thinking of doing a post on this) I use Rimmel's Match perfection, which has a dewy finish, not as much as their Wake Me Up foundation, but still its not a completely matte finish, which when I'm wearing tan it looks perfect. The shade I originally bought was too dark, that's how it ended up being my 'fake tan foundation', this was a complete accident. I also LOVE the smell of it, weird I know, and I know most people hate it when beauty products have smells, but I love it.

On days when I want a lighter coverage, I will tend to go for my Bare Minerals powder foundation in fairly light N10 and it does the job perfectly. I'm a liquid foundation girl for sure, but on those days when you want to be completely bare faced but don't want to look dead, this is perfect, and it can also be built up to be full converge, however personally I wouldn't trust it for a night out or anything like that, I like my full coverage liquids but I have used it as a setting powder, just using a very light sweep across the face. It can be pricey but I really like this foundation.

And lastly, I couldn't do a post and not include Mac, there are 110 reviews and Mac foundations, so i's going to make it short and sweet. I love both my Studio Sculpt SPF 15 Foundation and for those lighter days, my Studio moisture tint SPF 15. On the pricey side but still everyone must try them at least once, or maybe even the raved about Studio Fix.

Hope you enjoyed this, my next post will be on concealers
Have you tried any of these? What's your favourite?

Liz Earle Hair Oil

Hi my lovelies, hope you're all well
The first proper post on Alexandra does, just had to involve Liz Earle! there isn't a Liz Earle product that I've tried and haven't fallen in love with yet, they do exactly what they say on the tin, which is of course something that everyone wants. There's nothing worse than paying good money on a product that does nothing!

This Botanical Shine Nourishing Hair Oil is no exception to this, and of course I fell in love with it, (as you can see its nearly gone, but thankfully I have another one stand by haha) I use about 3 pumps (however it suggests 1-2) on the mid lengths and ends of my hair whilst its damp and either blow dry my hair or leave it to air dry, depending on how late I'm running. As well as nourishing dry and frizzy hair, it also works at a heat protectant. perfect for those who straighten and curl their hair.

It costs £15 which isn't too bad considering it does last quite a while and in comparison to other hair oils on the market it is very reasonably priced. along with buying it online, Boots now carry Liz Earle in store and Liz Earle products can also be found on QVC, which is where I get most of my products if I'm not in boots or buying direct from Liz Earle.

Have you tried any Liz Earle products? Any favourites?

My next post will be my daily make up favourites, so keep a look out for that, you can sign up your email to be notified when I post and follow me on Google+
