Holy Grail bases

Hi my lovelies, hope you're all well. This is the first post of a little series of posts I'll be doing in the next week or so on my favourite products in each different category. This one is on my favourite foundations, and coming up I've got concealers, brows, eyes, bases for eyes, blushes and bronzers, so far and after I'm thinking of doing a skin care version, for example, moisturisers, toners, exfoliators and masks etc.

Anyways, on to what this post is actually about, the foundation I use on a daily basis is Loreal True Match, which has gotten a lot of praise in the Youtube and blog world and I have to agree with everyone when I say its the perfect base. Its matte, and blends perfectly and it lasts pretty much all day and has a SPF of 17. Also, not to mention its cheap at only £10, and considering its been compared to Mac Studio Fix, that's a bargain! it can be bought in the usual places, Boots, Superdrug etc. I'm in the shade R2 C2 Vanilla Rose.

However, when I use fake tan (thinking of doing a post on this) I use Rimmel's Match perfection, which has a dewy finish, not as much as their Wake Me Up foundation, but still its not a completely matte finish, which when I'm wearing tan it looks perfect. The shade I originally bought was too dark, that's how it ended up being my 'fake tan foundation', this was a complete accident. I also LOVE the smell of it, weird I know, and I know most people hate it when beauty products have smells, but I love it.

On days when I want a lighter coverage, I will tend to go for my Bare Minerals powder foundation in fairly light N10 and it does the job perfectly. I'm a liquid foundation girl for sure, but on those days when you want to be completely bare faced but don't want to look dead, this is perfect, and it can also be built up to be full converge, however personally I wouldn't trust it for a night out or anything like that, I like my full coverage liquids but I have used it as a setting powder, just using a very light sweep across the face. It can be pricey but I really like this foundation.

And lastly, I couldn't do a post and not include Mac, there are 110 reviews and Mac foundations, so i's going to make it short and sweet. I love both my Studio Sculpt SPF 15 Foundation and for those lighter days, my Studio moisture tint SPF 15. On the pricey side but still everyone must try them at least once, or maybe even the raved about Studio Fix.

Hope you enjoyed this, my next post will be on concealers
Have you tried any of these? What's your favourite?
